Attractive locations

Hallasan

Volcanic mountain at the centre of the island and the highest peak in South Korea. Trails lead up through forest to the summit and its crater lake.

Seongsan Ilchulbong

Giant volcanic crater rising from the sea on Jeju's east coast. A short, steep climb reaches the rim, a popular spot for watching the sunrise.

Manjanggul Lava Tube

One of the longest lava tubes in the world, a vast underground tunnel formed by flowing lava. Only a section is open, with lit walkways past tall rock formations.

Jeongbang Waterfall

Waterfall on the south coast that drops directly into the ocean, a rare sight. Paths from the car park lead down to a viewpoint.

Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliff

Shoreline cliff of tall basalt columns shaped like hexagonal pillars, formed as lava cooled. Waves crash against it, and a walkway runs along the top.

Udo Island

A small island off Jeju's east coast reached by a short ferry ride, with beaches, farmland, a lighthouse and coastal paths. Many visitors tour it by bicycle or scooter.

Hyeopjae Beach

A white-sand beach on Jeju's northwest coast with shallow turquoise water and views of the small island of Biyangdo. Palm trees and a walkable shoreline add to the scene.

Airports

Jeju International Airport CJU

Jeju City, South Korea

It is about 16 km in a straight line from Jeju Island.
