Attractive locations

Kafue National Park

Zambia's largest national park, a huge area of woodland, rivers and floodplain with many antelope species, lions, leopards and elephants. It is less visited than other parks and feels remote.

Busanga Swamp

A large seasonal floodplain in the north of Kafue National Park, with open grass plains, lagoons and palm islands. Lions, red lechwe and many birds gather here as the water changes.

Itezhi-Tezhi Dam

A dam on the Kafue River at the southern edge of the park that created a long reservoir. The lake is used for boating and fishing, and the area is a gateway to the southern part of the park.

Airports

Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport LVI

Livingstone, Zambia

It is about 283 km in a straight line from Kafue National Park.
